Grant Opportunity for Lincoln Interpretation

The Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area is offering a funding opportunity for up to $10,000 for eligible education and interpretive projects for organizations within the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area, also known as Looking for Lincoln.

Funds may be used for educational and interpretive projects that have a lasting impact on interpreting the story of Abraham Lincoln’s life and times.  Examples of eligible projects include, but are not limited to: creating or refreshing exhibits in museums or visitor centers, digital interpretive projects, developing lesson plans, etc. Funding may not be used for events or Looking for Lincoln wayside exhibits. 

Applications will be accepted December 12, 2024 - noon on January 27, 2025.  Grant awards will be announced on February 12, 2025. All funds must be expended by September 30, 2025. Grant award funds must be matched a minimum of 1 to 1. All granted funds must be expended within the grant period (February 12, 2025-September 30, 2025) on the grant project.
